Will this fit on my beehive?

Yes! The Hive Sentry is designed to become a part of any bee hive. It is adaptable for a myriad of openings and widths.

How do the holes work?

The openings are smooth and rounded. Reducing the sharp edges ensures that they won’t remove pollen pellets or damage your bees. The openings are smaller than a mouse skull so that rodents can’t get in but are larger than a bee (including drones!)

Will this trap water in my hive?

Nope! The angled design of the Hive Sentry sheds water and snow away from the hive’s opening.

Will the Sentry negatively influence the temperature of my hive?

No. The bottom venting allows the regulation of internal hive temperatures in the summer and shedding of interior condensation in the winter. Plus the Hive Sentry is made of plastic so that it doesn’t trap heat.
