Hive sentry
How it works
We invented the Hive Sentry in 2019 to block insects and rodents from infiltrating our hives. The Hive Sentry is adaptable to fit any beehive regardless of opening or width size. This easy to install device offers easy access for your bees with its double tier entrance. The thruway size allows bees, including drones, to pass through easily, but the opening size is smaller than a mouse skull, keeping out predators. The strong one-piece structure also ensures that a mouse can’t push through, pry, or wedge the Hive Sentry off of your hive.
Adjustable entrance size
The square openings that maximize air flow also feature smooth edges to ensure pollen pellets stay on the bees as they safely enter and exit the hive. Each Hive Sentry comes with clip-on covers so that you can choose the width of entrance that is open and closed. This allows the number of entrances guarded by the bees to be adjusted.
Year-Round Use
The angled design ensures the Hive Sentry will shed water and snow away from your hive’s opening. The bottom of the device is vented to allow year-round use. In the winter the vents help rid the interior of condensation but in the summer they allow the regulation of internal hive temperatures.
Made in the USA from Recycled Plastic
Made in the USA, your Hive Sentry’s recycled plastic material incorporates additives to make is resistant to chewing from animals and additionally stable for UV and long term outdoor usage.
